Robin Thicke is making it known that he isn’t kidding around about trying to get his wife, Paula Patton, to go back on her decision to separate from him — and from the looks of things, he’s using the stage he performs on each night on his tour as a platform to beg for forgiveness.

Robin and Paula’s separation was first made public last week, and ever since, Robin’s been pulling out all the stops to prove that he’s serious about making their relationship work. Flying to Canada to try to change her mind, telling TMZ reporters he’s trying to get her back… these things are all a part of Robin’s big master plan to convince her to stay.

And despite the fact that Paula’s reportedly not buying what Robin’s selling, he’s still pressing forward. After announcing to concertgoers in Virginia last week that he’s “trying to get my girl back,” he’s trying a public profession of love one more time.

While on stage in Atlantic City, Robin paused the music for a moment to talk about what love means to him — just before singing Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together.”

“Never stop believing and you never stop loving. And even if it is over, make sure you treat each other right,” Robin told the crowd, according to E! Online. “Treat your family right. Take care of your mom, take care of your kids, and good things will come to you. Just keep believing that God is good. That’s what gets me by.”

And just in case things don’t pan out the way he wants them to with Paula, Robin’s planning to stay optimistic anyway.

“Sometimes when I get a little scared or worried about the future, I just try to stay positive and do my part to spread love and spread joy,” he said.
