Sounds like Robin Thicke is admitting defeat. TMZ reports that the "Blurred Lines" singer is giving up on his reconciliation efforts with estranged wife Paula Patton, telling his team that the marriage is over.

Robin and the Baggage Claim actress split up in February — not long after Robin's controversial VMAs performance with Miley Cyrus and the posting of that photo that seems to show him grabbing a woman's butt. They had been married since 2005 and in a relationship since 1991. They also have a son, Julian Fuego, who's now four years old.

Shortly after the split, Robin told concertgoers that he was trying to get his girl back, and then released the tribute album Paula in June — which turned out to be a critical and commercial disappointment.

Just this week, on July 21, Robin listed their 3,158 square foot home in Bel Air, California, on the market for nearly $3 million.

And now, TMZ touts, he's having an attorney hash out a financial settlement and divvy up the couple's assets — though the site does note that neither Robin nor Paula has hired a divorce attorney.
