It’s pretty clear that the cast of the Fast & Furious franchise were more than just friends — they were family. And since Paul Walker’s tragic death on Saturday, November 30, his co-stars have been reaching out and remembering their fallen friend. The latest person to break their silence? Tough chick Michelle Rodriguez.

“I'm gonna carry this torch for you brother, with a forced smile on my face and I’m gonna open my heart just cause your telling me to,” the 35-year-old actress wrote on December 2, joining Vin Diesel and Tyrese Gibson as just a few of the celebs who have shared their grief.

The post follows a flashback photo of the Fast & Furious crew breaking bread in 2001 and 2013, showing just how long the franchise has been going strong and how close the stars have become over the past decade. Michelle posted the throwback photo just one day before Paul’s deadly car crash.

While Michelle has only been in four of the seven total Fast & Furious films (including the seventh installment, which could be delayed), she and Paul were very close off-screen.

What do you think of Michelle’s heartfelt message? Share your thoughts in the comments.
