Playboy Playmate Cassandra Lynn, who was Miss February in 2006, was found dead in a friend’s bathtub on January 15, according to a TMZ report. While there is no official cause of death, police are investigating the case as a possible overdose.
The 34-year-old model was found by her friend, who called 911. Paramedics could not revive her and she was pronounced dead at the scene. A preliminary coroner's report will be released Friday, January 17.
According to Cassandra’s Model mayhem profile (via Hollywood Life), she “was born in a small town in Utah,” and moved to California at 18 to pursue her modeling dreams. After competing in the Hawaiian Tropic bikini contest, placing in the Top 20, she tried out for Playboy — "a dream com true" for the then 26-year-old. In addition to her appearance as Playboy’s February 2006 centerfold, she was also in several magazines, TV shows, and pinup calendars.
Several of Cassandra’s fellow Playmates took to Twitter to express their sorrow for their friend. "Senseless and tragic loss of such an amazing person,” writes Destiny Davis, January 2005’s Playmate of the Month.
Our sincere condolences go out to Cassandra’s friends and family.
