Darryl Robinson, a mixologist who starred on the Cooking Channel's Drink Up, has been found dead in his Brooklyn apartment. He was 50 years old.
Darly was found dead early in the morning on February 5 in his home in the Brooklyn neighborhood of Bed-Stuy, according to the New York Daily News. A friend was having trouble reaching Darryl and notified police.
Cops say that he was found fully clothed in his bedroom and that his body showed no signs of trauma. No drugs were found in the apartment.
"We had a meeting just two weeks ago here in my apartment," recalls the organizer of The Experts Collective, a networking group that Darryl was a member of. "He was in great shape. He was his usual, kind, energetic and lovely self."
Darryl hosted cocktail-making show Drink Up on the Cooking Channel in 2010. "At learning of this morning’s sad news, our thoughts go out to Darryl's family and friends," a network rep said in a statement. Darryl has also made drinks on shows like Access Hollywood, The Wendy Williams Show, and VH1's Morning Buzz.
Our thoughts go out to Darryl's family and loved ones during this very tough time.
