Many of Hollywood's biggest names convened in New York City on Thursday, February 6, to pay their respects to their late colleague Philip Seymour Hoffman.
Us Weekly reports that Amy Adams, Cate Blanchett, and Meryl Streep were among mourners who assembled at the Frank E. Campbell Funeral Chapel on the Upper East Side of Manhattan Thursday night to remember the 46-year-old Oscar-winning actor, who died of an apparent drug overdose on February 2.
Also in attendance were Michelle Williams, Joaquin Phoenix, Justin Theroux, John C. Reilly, Ben Stiller, Ethan Hawke, and Diane Sawyer.
The actors joined Philip's family — including his onetime partner Mimi O'Donnell and his three children with her: Cooper, Tallulah, and Willa. Many of the same celebrities present at the wake had also visited Mimi in the days after Philip's death.
Meanwhile, as Us notes, Amy cried during her appearance in Inside the Actors Studio this week as she shared memories of the actor — her co-star in Doubt and The Master. "Amy talked about how he was the greatest actor she had worked with," an eyewitness tells the mag. "She said to the audience of acting students, 'I wish you all could have had the chance to work with him.'"
