Prince George has a new ride. No, it’s not a pure white miniature pony, as cute and royally fitting as that would be. Nope, the future King of England is cruisin' the streets of da realm in a top-of-the-line stroller.
Mom and Dad — or, as they’re known to the rest of the world, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge — recently got a Silver Cross pram for their three-month-old son.
Sound expensive? Well, it was. Strollers in the Silver Cross line retail for upwards of $2,000. Referred to by The Daily Mail as “the world’s most exclusive pram,” the Silver Cross brand has totted around royal tots for almost a century. The Royal Family does love tradition.
There are several different models Wills and Kate may have picked for their bouncing baby boy (Buckingham Palace declined to comment on specifics, according to The Daily Mail).
Luxury contenders include the £1,450 (roughly $2,345) Silver Cross Balmoral pram or the Surf 007, a £2,000 ($3,234) baby buggy the company created with Aston Martin. You know, the luxury car manufacturer made famous by James Bond. That particular model of stroller includes air-ride suspension as well as an Italian suede interior. This is the royal baby we’re talking about after all.
A royal baby who seems to get cuter by the photoshoot. At his christening earlier this week, Prince George reminded us why he deserves to be king of our hearts by blowing bubbles during the ceremony and spreading his chubby little arms wide for the official portrait. Clearly, this kid only deserves the best and we’re glad to hear Daddy and Mummy agree.
