Jessica Simpson is no stranger to the public fascination’s around pregnancy weight gain. The singer’s figure was constantly critiqued and put on display during her first pregnancy with daughter Maxwell, now 17 months, and again during her second with newborn son Ace.

It’s now been four months since Ace’s birth, and Jessica is opening up to ABC News about how she’s losing the weight and getting back to her pre-baby figure. "I didn't gain as much weight in my second pregnancy, but I still gained a lot of weight," Jess says.

The 33-year-old, who showed off her noticeably slimmer bod at her best friend’s October 11 wedding, is a spokesperson for Weight Watchers, and she’s using the program to help her shed pounds post-baby.

"An indulgence for me is like ice cream, so I can have a Skinny Cow for four points, and I know that that'll be the sugar that I want that day," she says. "Today we just had an eight-point lunch, and it was a faux spicy chicken sandwich from Wendy's but it wasn't from Wendy's. We made it in a healthy way."

Four times a week, Jess does resistance training with a personal trainer, and she wears a pedometer to make sure she gets in at least 12,000 steps a day.

Also helping her body to bounce back post-baby? The fact that Jess indulged less frequently during this pregnancy than her first time around. (We’re guessing buttered Pop Tarts ended up being too many Weight Watchers points.)

"Going into my second pregnancy, I was just like, 'Oh, I can't eat the whole cake. I can just eat a piece of cake,'" she said with a laugh. "I didn't limit myself, and I definitely was not on a diet during my pregnancy but I did stay active and I had Maxwell to chase around because she turned one and started walking, so I was a running pregnant woman."
