They grow up so fast! Doesn’t it seem like yesterday Hollywood siren Angelina Jolie adopted her first child, Maddox, from an orphanage in Cambodia? That actually happened way back in 2002, and the then-seven-month-old is now a full-on preteen at 12.

Yesterday (November 16), the almost-teenager joined his mom Angelina and dad Brad Pitt at the 5th Annual Governor's Ball in Hollywood, where Angelina was presented with a special award to honor her years of humanitarian work.

Before the ceremony, the ridiculously photogenic family posed for photos on the red carpet. Angelina wore a stunning black Atelier Versace gown in a custom design. Brad and Maddox made an adorable father-son duo; they even wore matching black tuxes on the red carpet, complete with black bow ties and shiny black shoes.

While accepting her award, Angie made sure to thank her family for all their support. "My family, my love, your love and support make everything possible," she said. "Mad, and your brothers and sisters, there is no greater honor than being your mom."

Maddox is the oldest of Brad and Angelina’s six children. He’s joined by Zahara, 8, adopted from Ethiopia; Pax, 9, adopted from Vietnam; Shiloh, 7; and twins Vivienne and Knox, 5.

What do you think of Maddox’s grown-up look? We love his dapper tux, but we’re still pretty partial to that crazy mohawk he sported back in the day.
