Hilary Duff’s going back to work! The mom of nearly two-year-old son Luca Cruz has officially returned to the studio. The 26-year-old former Disney star shared the exciting news via her Twitter.

“Love all your tweets about my new music guys! Cool song almost finished today called ‘breathing room’,” she tweeted December 15.

“Breathing Room” seems like an appropriate title for the anthem of a new mother. Luca’s a totally adorable blond cherub but we’re sure running around after the tiny tot takes its toll on Hil.

The title of Hilary’s upcoming single isn’t the only tidbit she shared via social media. We also get a behind-the-scenes look at the girl forever known as Lizzie McGuire hard at work recording thanks to @boomansworld, “ In the studio w @HilaryDuff in NYC. Get ready :).”

Oh we’re ready! Hilary’s kept a relatively low profile ever since Luca’s birth in March 2012. Her break from music, however, started long before her baby boy’s arrival. Hilary first decided to give her vocal chords a rest from music back in 2008 when her contract with Hollywood Records came to an end.

But thankfully those days look to be done! Hilary’s next album (her fifth!) is set to debut by the middle of next year.
