James Van Der Beek and wife Kimberly didn't want to wait for their lives to be over to have another child! Indeed, the couple has just welcomed their third child.
Kimberly gave birth to a baby girl during a home birth on January 25, according to People. The couple has yet to reveal the little one's name.
"Kimberly and little one are doing really well," James's rep says.
James, 36, has taken to Twitter to address the happy news. "Outnumbered by kids, outnumbered by girls, outlandishly grateful and thrilled," The Beek tweets on January 25. "Watch out world, VDB baby #3 made her debut last night."
James and business consultant Kimberly got married in August 2010, a month before she gave birth to their first child, Olivia. They welcomed son Joshua in March 2012, and they announced in August 2013 that they were expecting baby number three. James split from his first wife in 2009.
This is an exciting time for James, whose new CBS sitcom, Friends With Better Lives, premieres in March. He also appears in the drama film Labor Day — appropriate title, given that his wife just gave birth! — which opens in theaters this Friday. James has previously starred on Dawson's Creek and Don't Trust the B—.
We wish all the best to the happy family! And we have a feeling that none of James's kids will tell him, "I don't want your life," as his character memorably told his father in everyone's favorite '90s high school football movie, Varsity Blues. (We're not the only ones who love Varsity Blues, right?)
