Who doesn’t want to talk about sperm in the early afternoon, are we right? Particularly when it’s related to Tom Arnold. The comedian and host of new CMT series My Big Redneck Family got personal in a January 30 stop by The Wendy Williams Show.

In case you weren’t aware, Tom has a low sperm count, which is a problem when, you know, you’re trying to have a baby. After 21 rounds of IVF with four different women and his wife Ashley’s second miscarriage, Tom was looking for new options to have a baby.

“I wanted to go immediately to a doctor,” the 54-year-old told Wendy. “I wanted to do a sperm donor.”

Thankfully, Tom had plenty of close friends willing to take a load off his shoulders. At the top of the list: the best man at his wedding, Dax Shepard.

Dax’s wife Kristen Bell was also behind helping Tom out. “It was about the nicest thing ever,” Tom says of the couple’s offer.

A-list actress Sharon Stone also offered advice as Tom and Ashley kept trying to conceive. In fact, it was right after meeting with one of Sharon’s recommended aids that Ashley found out she was expecting. The couple’s son Jax Copeland Arnold was born on April 6, 2013, just a month before Dax and Kristen welcomed their own new addition, daughter Lincoln.

A true happy ending for everyone!
