It’s been almost seventeen years since The Notorious B.I.G. was killed in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles in March 1997. The iconic rapper, whose real name was Christopher George Latore Wallace, left behind a young son.

At the time of his father’s death, Christopher Wallace, Jr., was just one year old. These days, the former celebrity tot is all grown up. He’s now 17 years old, goes by the name C.J., and is already creating music of his own.

C.J.’s mother is singer Faith Evans, whom Biggie married in August 1994. The couple welcomed their son in October 1996. At the time, Biggie and Faith both already had daughters T’yanna and Chyna from previous relationships.

Like plenty of teens his age, C.J. is big into social media. He’s active both on Twitter @ceejaywallace and on Instagram @cj_toa, and he’s posted a handful of photos. The 17-year-old isn’t the spitting image of his father, but the family resemblance does show through. That said, we see a lot of his mom in him, too.

Do you think that C.J. takes after his mother or his father more? And what do you think about his rap songs? Clearly, this celebrity offspring has got music running through his veins. What do you think: Is he the next B.I.G. thing?
