Miranda Kerr is single. Wait, sorry. Miranda Kerr just dropped a single (and, last we checked, is also still roaming free after her breakup with Orlando Bloom).

The 31-year-old Victoria Secret’s model and mother of 3-year-old Flynn just released her musical debut, a collaboration with Irish musician Bobby Fox. A cover of the famous Elvis and Ann-Margret number “You’re the Boss,” the song is one part bluesy ballad, one part baby doll pop with the Aussie model standing in for icon Ann-Margret.

Miranda’s been all about trying new things since she and Orlando announced their split last year. She’s even hinted that she’s open to expanding her dating pool, telling GQ British, “I appreciate both men and women … I want to explore. Never say never.”

And never say never to a singing career, clearly. While the jury’s still out on whether “You’re the Boss” has what it takes to top the charts, we certainly appreciate Miranda’s efforts. Her half-whisper, slightly lisping version of the song seems to take a cue straight from Marilyn Monroe’s birthday tribute to JFK though, admittedly, it’s a bit too breathy for our tastes.

What do you make of the song? Think Miranda can hang up her Angel wings, or should she stick to the catwalk? Hit the comments where who’s the boss? You’re the boss.
