In the scheme of celebrity baby names, Drew Barrymore’s new daughter got off easy with Frankie. Sure, it might strike us as a name more common for a little boy than a little girl, but at least Drew’s youngest isn’t named after an inanimate object (no offense, big sis Olive).

But what inspired Drew and her husband Will Kopelman to pick the slightly unusual name for baby No. 2? The 39-year-old mom, looking amazing for just having given birth on April 22, stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show and spilled the beans though she admits it’s “not the most interesting” story. You be the judge!

“It was just a name that came to my husband and I a few months before she was born, and we were sort of like, ‘I think this is it,’” Drew explained. “And then we gave ourselves room to change our mind, but we never did. My mother-in-law’s maiden name is Franco and I love her so much that it reminds me of her as well.”

Drew says all the other names she and Will brainstormed “started sounding like a color or a food” including one that was particularly dear to Drew’s heart.

“I love the name Pepper so much, but we were like, ‘Olive and Pepper. Like that’s two things you find in a pantry.’”

Good call, guys.
