Drew Barrymore may have just welcomed her second baby in April, but the 39-year-old is already back to work. In fact, just three weeks after giving birth, Drew showed off her svelte post-baby body, and in between her rounds of promoting her latest film, Blended, she introduced baby Frankie to the world. But guess what, Drew is already thinking about baby No. 3!
Drew and her husband, Will Kopelman, have grown their little family starting in 2012, and are now proud parents to Olive, 20 months, and Frankie, 4 weeks. Yet, this little family is all girls (save for Will, of course), so does this mean Drew wants to try for a bouncing baby boy?
“I feel like if my husband and I try to have a third, I would be mystified if we have a boy, because I’m so unfamiliar with boys,” the actress tells People during the Blended premiere in Hollywood. Adding, “I’m totally still as stupefied as ever!”
“I’m a guy’s girl, and I’ve never been overly ‘girlie-girl,’ but I love my girlfriends so much, so it makes all the sense in the world that my karma is to have two daughters,” she gushes. “I have such an Achilles heel with the mother-daughter relationship. I just get girls.”
But Drew is quick to add, “I love men, and I feel like I would have a lot to learn from my son if I was ever lucky enough to have a boy.” Aww, we hope Drew and Will will give parenthood another go!
Speaking of parenthood, these two lovebirds seem to have adjusted well to their new roles as mom and pop. In fact, Drew can’t stop gushing over how great of a father Will is to their two girls. “Will is a great father!” Drew reveals. “He is amazing, and we all have each other’s backs. When anybody has to do something, somebody is there to fill in. We also spend all of our time together.”
So once Drew’s promotional tour for Blended comes to an end, what’s next for the proud momma? “I’m going to be back in sweatpants until November!” she exclaims. “I am literally never without my family. My kids go with me everywhere, I’m a stay-at-home mom, I’m a work-from-home mom a lot of the time, so to get out for a couple of weeks is actually kind of okay!” We feel you, girl.
Honestly though, can Drew be any more perfect? We just love seeing her as a gushing mom!
