Cue the applause, Jimmy Fallon is officially a father of three! On July 10, the late-night comedian took to Twitter to announce the birth of his first child with wife Molly McNearney — a baby girl! — and the responses from fans were nothing short of sweet.
"Congratulations to my beautiful and very tough wife [Molly McNearney] on delivering our baby girl this morning," Jimmy wrote. “Thanks for all your kind baby wishes — turns out, not ALL tweets are mean!”
Jimmy announced his wife — who is a head co-writer on Jimmy Kimmel Live — was expecting this past February during his visit to The Ellen DeGeneres Show. But this isn’t Jimmy’s first time as a father. He already has two children Kevin, and Katie — both in their twenties — from his previous marriage to Gina Maddy.
“I told my daughter, ‘Listen, there’s only so much love I have to give. You’re gonna have to split it up with the new kid. There’s a finite amount of love and that’s that,’” the 46-year-old jokingly told Ellen. “So they’re dealing with it, but it is very weird at my age. I’m going to be one of those old dads.”
46 or not, we’re sure that Jimmy has enough love to go around for baby No. 3. Congratulations to Jimmy and Molly!
