If there’s one thing we know about America’s sweetheart Jennifer Aniston is that she has a million children. Not really though, but according to the tabloids, Jennifer has given birth to countless children. Alongside the speculation is an ongoing debate on whether or not the former Friends star even wants to have babies of her own.
Well guess what? Jennifer has about had it with everyone’s obsession over her unborn child, and when she’s going to tie the knot to fiancé Justin Theroux.
She touched on these rumors while interviewing women’s rights activist Gloria Steinem at The Makers Conference in February, discussing how society often associates a woman’s worth based on marital status and whether or not you’ve procreated. The 45-year-old actress expanded more on the subject matter with Carson Daly during her Today show interview August 27.
Jennifer says, "I'd talked to [Gloria] personally about this for awhile, just because it is always such an issue of, like, 'Are you married yet? Are you going to have your babies yet?'”
“It's just constant," she continues. "It's like, I don't know! I don't have this sort of checklist of things that have to be done, and if they're not checked, then I've failed some part of my feminism or my value as a woman because I haven't birthed a child."
The Horrible Bosses star then delivers this mic drop: “I've birthed a lot of things and feel like I've mothered many things, and I don't think it's fair to put that pressure on people."
Well, there you have it! Babies, marriage, or not, Jennifer is doing just fine without a checklist, thank you very much.
