First, you heard it from Tia Mowry-Hardrict, and now you’re going to hear it from her twin sister, Tamera Mowry-Housley!
In the past few weeks, internet trolls have been doing some serious hating on Tia’s 3-year-old son, Cree, and his curly locks. In response, the 36-year-old mama took to Instagram to defend her son’s natural locks, which earned a lot of positive feedback (the post already received over 60K likes!).
So how does Tamera feel about those haters bashing on her nephew? When Hip Hop Hollywood asked the 36-year-old — who is also a mother to almost 2-year-old son Aden — at the 2014 Fox FX Emmy After Party, she was initially taken back by the news.
“She did? I do know that Tia always feels like maybe people are always talking about her son or something like that,” she said bewildered. “Wow…his hair.”
In case you forget, Tia’s son has been sporting some envious top knots and haters think it’s too long and that Tia should cut it! What’s more, Beyoncé and Jay Z’s daughter, 2-year-old Blue Ivy’s “uncombed” hair at the 2014 MTV VMAswas the butt of a joke on BET’s 106 & Park. And you know what? Tamera is not OK with it.
“I think people need to leave children alone. Who does that? You know what, it tells you a lot about them, than what they’re talking about. If you’re really going to go online and talk about a kid, and talk about like Blue Ivy — don’t mess with my nephew,” she says to the camera.
Adding, “That just tells me a lot about your character. That is the most stupidest thing I have ever heard. Wow. People should be able to do whatever they want to do with their child.” And to that we say, preach sister!
