Dr. Oz? Nope, that’s Grandpa Oz to you! Mehmet Oz, Oprah’s favorite TV doctor, just became a first time grandpa. His daughter, The Chew host Daphne Oz, gave birth to her first child on February 26.
People reports that Daphne and her husband, John Jovanovic, welcomed a baby girl to their family, but the couple hasn’t yet released their daughter’s name. Arriving just after 10 p.m., Baby Oz-Jovanovic weighs 6 pounds, 13 ounces and is 20.5 inches long. Her proud dad tells the magazine, “Mom and baby are doing very well. We feel so blessed.”
Back in September, Daphne announced her pregnancy during an episode of The Chew. She informed the audience that she would be showing them pictures of a trip to Europe, and then surprised everyone when three sonogram images popped up, instead!
Daphne is the oldest daughter of Dr. Oz and his wife, Lisa. She has three younger siblings, whose names are Arabella, Zoe and Oliver. She and John, who met while studying at Princeton University, married in August 2010. Long story short: This little girl is going to have both brains and beauty. Congrats to the Oz family on welcoming their brand new addition!
