Frozen has scored plenty of awards and box office cred since its release last year, but the Academy Award-winning film had an extra benefit for one fan close to the movie. Idina Menzel — who voices the princess with the frozen touch, Elsa — recently chatted up Entertainment Tonight a shares one unique way how the hit movie has changed her life.
One of the best bits of the interview was when Idina spilled the beans on how the Disney flick’s given her young son Walker an edge on the playground. While at a Valentine’s Day party, 4-year-old Walker tried to wow his female classmates.
“They were singing the Frozen song and then he says, ‘My mommy sings that.’ And they all said, ‘So do our mommies,’” Idina tells ET with a smile. We think this calls for a class visit, Idina!
The actress, who is up for a Tony during Sunday’s annual awards show, is currently separated from Walker’s father, actor Taye Diggs, but we can’t let go of our hopes they’ll reconcile someday soon.
Watch the video above to hear what Idina has to say about her recent Tony nomination and how she’s keeping busy these days post-Frozen. Then head below to tell us what you think of her adorable story about Walker!
