While Ms. Miley has been a longtime defender of pot, for a while she all but copped up to smoking it herself.

“I did a song with Snoop Dogg called ‘Ashtrays and Heartbreaks,’ so people can put it together for themselves,” she said in an interview with Rolling Stone in June 2013.

We were so innocent back then, before Miley’s VMA performance. After her August 2013 foam finger incident drove home that she’s not a Disney Princess anymore, Miley got more candid with Rolling Stone in September 2013, telling the magazine that “weed is the best drug on Earth.”

In case you still weren’t sure what Miley’s relationship with Mary Jane is like, she lit a joint onstage at the European Music Awards in November 2013. She told UK radio station Capital FM that she thought it’d be “really funny.”
