Joe Nichols’s 2014 is off to a pretty fantastic start. The country star’s single “Sunny and 75” just went gold, selling more than 500,000 digital downloads, and now Joe and his wife, Heather, have announced that they’re expecting a baby!

Joe’s rep confirms the news to People, saying, “Joe, Heather and [20-month-old daughter] Dylan are very excited to be welcoming a new baby by summer.” Joe, 37, also has a teenage daughter, Ashelyn, who is 15.

If you ask us, it sounds like Joe is pretty stoked to become a father again: “Aaaaaaand we're pregnant again! Another baby Nichols on the way in 2014! :)” he tweeted January 9.

Joe and Heather have known each other since they were 19 years old. They were married in Georgia back in 2007, but faced their first bump in the road when Joe entered rehab just a month later.

He’s been sober ever since, but the couple’s journey to start a family hasn’t been an easy one. People reports that Heather suffered a miscarriage in January 2008, and later started fertility treatments. Due to an autoimmune condition, Heather had four more miscarriages before little Dylan was born in 2012.

Congrats to the couple on their expanding family! It hasn’t been an easy journey, but we’re glad to see Joe and Heather getting a happy ending at last.
