Camden Lachey is officially going to be a big brother! His parents, Nick and Vanessa Lachey, took to Twitter on July 15 to share the happy news that the Lachey family is growing — and they’re expecting a baby girl!
“Can’t think of a better way to celebrate 3 years of marriage to my beautiful @VanessaLachey than this! #family,” Nick tweeted with a photo of son Camden and the message, “It’s a girl” drawn out on the sand. Yes, you can start awwing now.
This happy news comes just two months after Wetpaint Entertainment spoke with the mom-to-be during the Crocs grand flagship store opening in New York City (we have a feeling she was already pregnant then!). There, Vanessa talked about whether Camden will become a big brother sometime soon and coyly responded with, “Well, God willing!”
The couple welcomed their first son, Camden John Lachey, back in September 2012 and have adapted to parenthood just fine. Vanessa dished to Wetpaint that being a parent “just changes a lot of your decisions, but other than that, I feel like the luckiest person in the world to have this little guy.”
Nick and Vanessa have sure come a long way since meeting on the set of Nick’s music video, “What’s Left Of Me,” and growing their family has always been a hot topic of theirs. “We definitely want more kids. You don't want kids to have to share the same group of friends,” Nick told Parents magazine back in May. "But you don't want them so far apart that they have nothing in common,” added Vanessa.
Well, it looks like they timed it pretty well! Congratulations to Nick, Vanessa, and Camden!
