It's good to see that Ke$ha is taking her recovery seriously. After checking herself into a rehab facility just over a month ago to deal with an eating disorder, the pop star announced on February 4 that she will be extending her stay in treatment indefinitely. And while her fans (aka "The Animals") can take comfort in knowing that she's getting healthy, they'll also have to deal with not seeing her in concert any time soon: She has now cancelled her remaining March and April tour dates.

"I was so looking forward to performing at these dates, but I need to follow my doctor's advice and get my health back on track," the 26-year-old says in the announcement. "All of your support has been so amazing. I couldn't have done this without you all. I look forward to coming back stronger than ever on the next tour."

Ke$ha's team released the statement, adding that those who have purchased tickets can get refund information from their local box offices.

But just because she's extending her stay, doesn't mean things aren't progressing. E! News recently spoke with a friend of the "Timber" singer, who is said to be "doing great. Instead of cutting it to 30 days in treatment, she has decided to stay a little longer. She has postponed a couple of days but is doing great." Great to hear!

More of Hollywood's young people should take a page from Ke$ha's book and put their health first. What good is the money and fame if you can't enjoy it?
