Surprise! Florida Georgia Line’s Brian Kelley not only has a serious girlfriend, that serious girlfriend is now his wife! The 28-year-old singer married 23-year-old University of Georgia psychology student Brittney Marie Cole earlier today, the couple tells People magazine. The two wed at a sunset outdoor ceremony at Brian’s 32-acre Nashville home, which kept in line with the newlywed’s unconventional courtship.
“The whole process has been nontraditional,” Brian tells People. “There was no official proposal or exchanging of rings. We had just fallen in love, and I knew I couldn’t live without her. It sounds like a terrible cheesy movie, but when you know, you know!”
Brian and Brittany just began dating in May but have known one another for more than three years.
“She definitely caught my eye [back then],” Brian says of his new wife (at the time, both were seeing other people). “Brittney’s the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen. I always knew in my heart that if I were single, then I wanted a chance with her. She was my dream girl.”
Forty guests were invited to the pair’s nuptials, including FGL’s long-haired Tyler Hubbard and their fellow bandmates. “Whimsical really comes to mind when I describe it,” Brittney says of the special day.
Next up the pair are planning a tropical honeymoon and to adopt a puppy. Eventually, they hope to expand their family even further. “One day for sure,” Brian says of becoming a father, “but it’s too crazy with everything going on right now. We’re enjoying being with each other. It’s a beautiful love story. It really is.”
Here’s the to the good times! Congratulations to the happy couple.
