This girl’s getting married! Allison Williams is engaged!
The 25-year-old actress and star of Lena Dunham-fronted Girls announced her engagement to People earlier today (February 26). Her rep tells the magazine that Allison and her boyfriend of three years, Ricky Van Veen, are engaged to be married.
The two met through mutual friends and, by all accounts, have been going strong ever since. Beside her work on shows like The Mindy Project and Will & Kate: Before Happily Ever After, Allison is well-known for being the daughter of NBC news anchor/late-night rapper Brian Williams. Ricky, meanwhile, is co-founder of online joke machine CollegeHumor.com.
Allison, who plays Marnie Michaels on Girls, recently made headlines when she talked to Glamour about her future goals, including motherhood.
“My goal is to create a career I can walk away from and become a mom,” she told the magazine. “I’d love to be a mom, and not have to bring my kids into my trailer … Or a balance [of both]. But you gotta call it on the fly to a certain extent.”
While we haven’t heard there’s a baby on board quite yet, with that kind of talk we think Brian Williams best prepare to be a grandpa sooner rather than later!
