Most couples like to take a honeymoon after getting hitched, but, then again, Leighton Meester and Adam Brody aren’t exactly an average pair. The newlyweds are out and about promoting their new film, Life Partners, which is about to make a big debut at the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival.

“Yeah, that pesky guy,” the former Gossip Girl star dished with Newsday. “It’s about finding each other, and how it kinda hurts to change and grow...for the better, even. It was the best. We basically got to say whatever came to our minds. There was a lot of improv.”

But working with your new husband must be pretty hard — especially when your character is a lesbian chick. How did she get into character?

"I was like, 'I'm gonna be playing the person you're not dating,'" she told the newspaper. '"That OK? I'm gonna be playing the opposite of that.' And yeah, I'm biased — but he's incredible in it."

Leighton also revealed that the project “came along by chance.” We have to admit this happenstance is something we can totally get behind. One for Life Partners, please!
