Jodie Foster came out to the world in one of the most memorable moments of the 2013 Golden Globe Awards, and now’s she’s officially married!
The 51-year-old actress and photographer Alexandra Hedison have wed, according to E! News, with a rep for Jodie confirming the happy announcement. The two got hitched over the weekend, with additional details about the ceremony yet to reach our ears. See them together in the video below.
Jodie and Alexandra were rumored to be dating last summer, often attending the same events, though not always spotted together. Alexandra previously dated Ellen DeGeneres for three years.
Jodie received the Cecil B. DeMille Award during last year’s Golden Globes and used the opportunity to share news she’d long ago told those closest to her.
“I already did my coming out about 1,000 years ago back in the Stone Age, those very quaint days when a fragile young girl would open up to trusted friends and family and co-workers, and then gradually, proudly to everyone who knew her, to everyone she actually met,” she said at the time.
Jodie also thanked her one-time partner, Cydney Bernard. The two split in 2008 after two kids and more than a decade together but remain close, with Jodie calling Cyd “my heroic co-parent, my ex-partner in love but righteous soul sister in life.”
Congratulations to the star actress as she starts this next chapter!
