UPDATE (8/9/2014): Courteney Cox's ex-husband might be there for her when the rain starts to pour — but he probably won't be at her upcoming wedding to rocker Johnny McDaid.
When David — who himself recently got engaged — would asked whether he'll be at the nuptials, he responded, "I doubt that," according to Us Weekly. However, he maintains that the exes are still friendly: "We are all very tight and very close and very supportive of everyone."
Original story (6/26/2014): Well, that was fast! Courteney Cox and her boyfriend of six months, Snow Patrol band member Johnny McDaid, are officially engaged!
And where did the news break? Why, Twitter, of course.
"I'm engaged to him!" the former Friends star tweeted alongside an adorable photo of the two. Nothing like being short and sweet about it!
Courteney recently celebrated her 50th birthday with Johnny on a romantic getaway to Turks and Caicos. She also recently caught up with PEOPLE to talk about collaborating with her hubby on her new film, Just Before I Go — which she also directed.
"I've had a lot more support from him than him just being here tonight," Courteney said. "Snow Patrol wrote three original songs for this movie. I'm really fortunate. It's amazing, all the musical things that he brought to it."
She also added about Johnny's contributions to her movie, "I couldn't be happier. It really elevates the film in so many ways."
Courteney and David Arquette finalized their divorce a year ago and share custody of their daughter Coco.
