Jessica Simpson has come a long ways since her chicken of the sea days. Over the Fourth of July weekend, the soon-to-be 34-year-old (her birthday is in just two short days) walked down the aisle to say her long-awaited “I dos” to father of her two children Eric Johnson.

So how much did the all-American wedding cost? Brace yourself because we’re talking upwards of one million dollars. In fact, something in the neighborhood of $1.4 million was paid to cover all four days of the romantic retreat to San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, California.

That steep price tag treated 275 guests to 96 hours of fun in the sun including an estimated food bill of $300,000, not including alcohol, according to E! Online. On top of all that, there was the ritzy location (at least $150,000, E! says), the flowers (costing nearly as much as the scenic venue), and the dress with jewels to match ($30,000 and $750,000, respectively).

Those numbers got you feeling faint? Don’t worry about the Simpson-Johnson clan being able to afford the nuptials. We’re hearing they racked in $300,000 for selling photos of the event exclusively to People magazine.

Surprised by the cost? Thought it actually be more? Tell us in the comments!
