To the bride, pictures of her big day are priceless. To People magazine? They can definitely put a put a price on the memories created by celeb weddings, since those photos often translate into magazine sales and website clicks.

And when it comes to Jessica Simpson’s wedding to Eric Johnson? Yeah, the price People was willing to pay was pretty steep. According to what a magazine insider tells the New York Daily News, the exclusive right to publish Jessica’s wedding photos in this week’s issue earned the Weight Watchers mama a cool $300,000 just for marrying the man of her dreams.

Of course, the $300,000 check came with a few stipulations: Like absolutely no photos could come out before the issue of People does this Wednesday. This means that all of the guests at Jess and Eric’s nuptials weren’t allowed to bring in their phones or take any pictures of their own. So if you’re wondering why any pictures haven’t surfaced on Instagram yet, that would be why.

Other weddings People has shelled out serious cash to cover? Drew Barrymore’s June 2012 wedding to Will Kopelman, and, unsurprisingly, when Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries tied the knot in 2011.

We can’t wait to see the photos of Jessica’s wedding, although we may be a tad less excited than People was. Either way, the pics are going to be beautiful — and that check is going to do wonders when it comes to paying for their undoubtedly expensive ceremony and reception.

Congrats again, Jessica and Eric!
