Beyonce may get most of the attention among the Knowles children, but don't discredit her talented little sister, Solange. The 27-year-old beauty is not only a fashion icon, but she's also an accomplished singer, songwriter, and the proud owner of her very own record label called Saint Records. Solange announced the news back in May, and now she can finally reveal the label's official home on the web — Saintrecords.com.
The website doesn't contain much content now — aside from a short clip of Solange looking fabulous in a sequined pink dress and Birkenstock sandals — but there's plenty on the horizon. Solange is currently working on her fourth album, to be released under Saint Records, of course, which will feature a variety of indie and electronic artists, according to Billboard.com.
In addition to housing her own album, Saint Records will produce and distributing work from emerging and independent artists. Without having to answer to a higher authority, Solange can not only make the music she wants to make, but spotlight the myriad of other talented artists deserving of a big break.
"I have so many friends who’ve put me on to so much great music. And we just have that endless conversation about new upcoming great artists that might not get the exposure they deserve on an independent level," she told Billboard.com. "There’s so much magic happening right now on an independent level and I’m excited to be attached to that."
On a more personal level, Solange has more important news to report — the "Losing You" singer recently left Brooklyn behind and laid down permanent roots in the city of New Orleans, where she purchased an adorable historic home. We can't wait to hear what kind of influence the Big Easy has on her already unique sound.
