UPDATE: The rumors sadly appear to be true.

Chelsea Handler referred to herself as single when interviewing her pal, In Plain Sight star Mary McCormack, on Chelsea Lately on October 1, according to Us Weekly.

Mary was discussing hanging out with Chelsea recently and said, "[Chelsea's] single now, too, so it's like, you can't keep up!" And apparently confirming the news, Chelsea responded with, "Maybe I'll start [dating] a bitch? That would totally be something I would do, is date a woman."

There you have it. Chelsea is now looking to mingle, and both genders can apparently apply for the job.

Original story: Chelsea Handler is a single lady once again.

Life & Style reports that the 38-year-old Chelsea Lately host has split with her billionaire beau, Andre Balazs.

The pair first started dating in early 2011, splitting less than a year after getting together, only to revisit their relationship in early 2012.

The brash talk show host, who has also been linked to 50 Cent and NBC Chairman Ted Harbert, told Ellen DeGeneres of her hotelier mate in the past, “It's very rocky, but I love him. I'm trying to blossom into womanhood.”

However, despite her best attempts, the pair couldn’t make their conflicting personalities work. “He's been telling his friends they're done,” reports a source close to the couple. "They're definitely over."

A pal noted additional signs of a split, adding, "Chelsea stopped wearing the vintage compass necklace André gave her."

However, while the two may have parted ways, it doesn’t seem as though Andre is terribly broken up about the loss of his relationship.

An eyewitness reveals that the father of two was out partying in Manhattan shortly after the couple’s split.

"He attended the Hugo Boss event in NYC last night,” says the tipster. “He was mingling and hanging with his guy friends."

Chelsea, in the meantime, is back at work in Los Angeles, where her show films.
