Shawn Hunter is tying the knot this weekend — and sorry, it’s not with Angela.
According to People, the now 33-year-old Rider Strong will be marrying his longtime girlfriend, Alexandra Barreto, in Oregon on Sunday.
They first met while working together on the 2006 WB sitcom, Pepper Dennis, and later teamed up on a campaign video for President Obama.
The couple became engaged in December of last year, when Rider proposed with a one-of-a-kind ring he made himself, following a tradition originally set by his dad, who made the ring he proposed to Rider’s mom with, too!
“I spent weeks making the ring in secret,” Rider said. “I carved the ring out of wax, cast it in white gold and had my dad make a wooden ring box for me.”
And the proposal itself? In the rain outside the house Rider grew up in in Northern California. So sweet! Alexandra is a lucky girl.
“I’m incredibly lucky to be getting married to my best friend and partner in crime,” Rider said of his upcoming nuptials.
So what’s Rider up to these days? He works with his brother, Shiloh, on indie movies like The Dungeon Master, Method, and Irish Twins, occasionally returning to his TV roots for guest spots on Castle and Bones.
