For those of you tuning in to The Grammy Nomination Concert Live tonight, be advised that the show is down one Canadian rapper. Drake has pulled out of the concert, as TMZ reports.

"Unfortunately, due to scheduling complications, Drake will no longer be performing," touts a rep for the Nothing Was the Same singer. "[He's] currently in the middle of his nationwide 'Would You Like a Tour?' and sincerely apologizes to his fans that he can’t be there."

Well, we certainly appreciate the apology, but is it really plausible that scheduling conflicts sprung up less than a day before the big event after Drake booked the gig all the way back in October? Or is there some other deciding factor going unsaid here? Either way, the rep isn't saying.

And though Drake is a late subtraction to the broadcast, there have luckily been some late additions: Lorde, Katy Perry, and Taylor Swift will all take the stage.

The performances and announcements will kick off tonight at 10 p.m. ET on CBS, and then the Grammys themselves — "Music's biggest night" — will air January 26 on the same network at 8 p.m. ET.

Do you believe the rep's story? Or do you think it's spin control? Let us know below!
