There’s something about Mary: She’s hairy. Okay, so not exactly hairy but Cameron Diaz does want women to keep their lady gardens, well, less severely shorn than, say, Carrie Bradshaw over on Sex and the City might like.

In her new project, The Body Book, the 41-year-old bombshell tells her readers to keep their parts “fully dressed” and we don’t think she means in a suit and tie.

“I hear that there’s a big fad these days of young women undergoing laser hair removal on all of their lady bits,” Cameron writes. But doing something so drastic is a “crazy idea,” she writes, because it lasts “forever.”

She then gives the best defense we’ve ever heard for keeping a little hair down there.

“I know you may think you’ll be wearing the same style of shoes forever and the same style of jeans forever, but you won’t,” she writes. “The idea that vaginas are preferable in a hairless state is a pretty recent phenomenon, and all fads change, people.”

Cameron goes on to dabble in some imagery we didn’t necessarily need by calling pubic hair a “pretty little draping” and advising her readers that “20 years from now, you will still want to be presenting it to someone special, and it would be nice to let him or her unwrap it like the gift that it is.” So keep the hair but add a bow?
