Hawaii Five-0 actor Alex O'Loughlin had a 9-1-1 situation on his hands on Monday, January 6, when his $4 million house on the island of Oahu, Hawaii, went up in flames.

The 39-year-old Aussie wasn't home at the time, reports Hawaii News Now, but neighbors reported hearing an explosion around 3:45 p.m. local time.

"We heard a boom, and his garage door blew off and we saw the smoke," one neighbor tells the site. "We were running back and forth [yelling], 'Get out of the house!'"

Firefighters showed up in droves and contained the fire by 4:11 p.m. Though they kept the fire contained to the garage, the damage to the property estimated at $110,000. (With that number of zeroes, we're thinking that a car parked inside was totaled.)

Alex bought the house in 2011 for $3.5 million. It's now valued at $4 million, though Alex and his brood might have to shell out a lot of money to get the abode back in shape.

The important part, however, is that the CBS star and his family are safe. Alex lives in the Diamond Head home with his girlfriend — surfer and model Malia Jones — their 15-month-old son, and their kids from prior relationships.

Here's wishing Alex and his kin a speedy rebuild!
