What’s the street value of an Olympic Gold Medal? Ryan Lochte may soon find out if a new RadarOnline.com report is to be believed.
The site claims Ryan’s parents have lost their house to foreclosure, surprising news considering the kind of endorsement deals the 29-year-old must had had after his showing at the 2012 London Olympics. And that doesn’t even include the value (monetary and spiritually) of having “Jeah!” be your own personal catchphrase.
The foreclosure of Steven and Ileana Lochte’s home in Port Orange, Florida, was finalized on Halloween 2013, according to court documents obtained by Radar. It was the latest chapter in the Lochtes’ legal struggles. CitiMortgage first sued the couple in 2012 over a $258,000 loan taken out in 2007. The two reportedly stopped making their more than $1,600 a month payments in February 2011 and owed more than $240,000.
Seeing as all of this trouble went down almost three years ago, it’s surprising no word of it ever made it on to Ryan’s short-lived reality TV show, What Would Ryan Lochte Do? In this case, we hope the answer to that very important question is help get his parents a new place to live.
