There was nothing awkward about Zac Efron’s stop by TODAY on January 21.
Joined by his fellow That Awkward Moment stars, Michael B. Jordan and Miles Teller, Zac chatted about their upcoming picture before the conversation took a less lighthearted turn.
TODAY host Savannah Guthrie asked Zac how his life has been going after rehab. The 26-year-old sought treatment for a rumored drug addiction twice in 2013.
“I’m in the best place I’ve ever been,” Zac replied. “I’ve never been this happy before.”
He continued with a nod to both Michael and Miles.
“I’m extraordinarily grateful for these guys and to be here promoting this movie,” he said before later calling both “the best young actors I’ve ever worked with.” Outside of the Disney Channel, right, Zac?
Cool and collected despite the potentially touchy topic, Zac even thanked Savannah for her concern about his post-rehab life. “Things are good, so thank you for asking,” he said.
Dressed in a maroon t-shirt and dark jeans, Zac does look happy and healthy in the interview. His broken jaw also appears to have healed up nicely. All around, 2014 is starting off strong for Zac and we couldn’t be happier for him!
