If Zac Efron has been looking especially good on the red carpet events for That Awkward Moment, it may be because he's slimmer these days — having completed the six-week Wired-Jaw Diet. (Or, as infomercials might put it, the diet craze sweeping the nation!)

We only make light of it because he does, too, in the January 30 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! — explaining the whole saga to the talk show host.

"The story starts kind of cool … I have a fountain in my house. That's kind of dope, right? Yeah, so I was running through and slipped on water and hit my chin on the fountain in my house."

Ouch! And Zac was so dazed by the fall that he didn't even realize how badly he was injured.

"Luckily my brother was there, and I was like, 'Whoa, geez, man.' And he's like, 'Are you OK?' And I go, 'I don't know, man. Am I OK?' And he goes, 'No. You're not OK.' He's like, 'We're going to the hospital.' … Next thing I know, I'm waking up, and … my jaw was wired shut and I couldn't talk."

Suffice it to say, the 26-year-old wasn't enjoying L.A.'s fine dining scene!

"It was pretty gnarly … I was drinking foods solidly for six weeks — only liquid foods. It sucked … I lost, like, 10-12 pounds."

And, in addition to his brother, he also owes a debt of gratitude to a certain blender company: "Shout out to Vitamix. You saved my freaking life."

Glad to see Zac in fine form, but, uh, don't try this at home, kids.
