She may be in Paris, but Lorde's life isn't all glamor — as proven by a pimply selfie the Kiwi singer posted to Instagram on February 10, sharing her makeup-free face with all of her 775K followers.

"In bed in Paris with my acne cream on," the Pure Heroine Grammy winner wrote in the snapshot's caption.

Sure enough, you can see that she dabbed white cream on her face before snuggling under the covers and snapping the self-portrait.

The 17-year-old — whose real name is Ella Maria Landi Yelich-O'Connor — took home plenty of Grammy gold on January 26, snagging awards for Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance, both for "Royals."

She even gave a live performance of the song during the show, generating a lot of watercooler chatter with her spastic dance moves.

In a recent issue of Rolling Stone, Lorde summed up her unique persona: "I get paralyzingly nervous a lot of times, so I tried bravado … The way I dress and carry myself, a lot of people find it intimidating. I think my whole career can be boiled down to the one word I always say in meetings: strength."

Well, she's certainly strong enough to show that she's a normal teen, zits and all!
