This news should do wonders to shut down those naysayers that thought Ellen Page’s coming out would have any impact on her career. Ellen has just been cast in her “dream” project, Freeheld, alongside fellow Academy Award-nominee Julianne Moore, and her new co-star was quick to speak out in support of Ellen’s choice to disclose her sexuality publicly.

“It was really wonderful," Moore told E! News about Ellen’s revealing speech at the Human Rights Campaign's THRIVE Conference on Valentine’s Day. “I was very happy for her."

The Juno star will star in the upcoming film, based on a true story, about a New Jersey police detective (Julianne) who, after being diagnosed with terminal cancer, isn’t able to assign her pension benefits to her same-sex partner (Ellen).

When asked about working with Ellen on the project, the The Kids Are Alright actress was enthusiastic. "It's great,” she gushed. “I’m excited about it."

We’re excited, too! These two are known for turning out some pretty phenomenal, emotional performances, so they’re sure to do the story justice. Oscars 2016 sweep, anyone?
