Laura Jeanne Reese Witherspoon: wife, mother of three, Oscar-winning actress, humanitarian, and lifestyle guru?
The Devil's Knot actress is launching her own lifestyle company in 2015, E! Online reports. In fact, Reese has already enlisted C. Wonder president Andrea Hyde as acting CEO of the project. The site also touts that Reese's new company will have a Southern flair, drawing on Reese's Nashville upbringing.
The 37-year-old , intentionally or not, is following in the footsteps of friend Gwyneth Paltrow — who has been maintaining the lifestyle brand Goop for nearly six years. Hopefully Reese's new venture will fare a little bit better than Gwyneth's in the court of public opinion: Goop has been criticized for being "out of touch" and endorsing very expensive products.
Then again, this won't be Reese's first foray into business. In 2000, she co-founded a production company called Type A Films — naming it after an in-joke with her family — which went on to develop four of Reese's movies: Legally Blonde 2, Penelope, Four Christmases, and This Means War.
In 2012, Reese merged the company with another to form a new company called Pacific Standard, which is producing Wild and Gone Girl.
Here's wishing her just as much success in the lifestyle world!
