Sam & Cat star Jennette McCurdy was a no-show at last night's Kids' Choice Awards, which was a surprise to some fans since she was nominated for Favorite TV Actress and her show won Favorite TV Show.

Her co-star Ariana Grande, 20, helped honor the creator of the Nickelodeon show during the broadcast, and Ariana won the actress award for which they were both nominated.

Saturday night, Jennette, 21, shared an extended tweet to kinda sorta explain why she wasn't at the show.

"A lot of you guys are asking why I didn't attend the KCAs.... I wish I could explain everything as thoroughly as I would like to, but unfortunately a simpler explanation is all I can write. I was put in an uncomfortable, compromising, unfair situation (many of you have guessed what it is) and I had to look out for me. I chose to not go because sticking up for what is right and what is fair is what my mom taught me is ALWAYS the most important thing. I want to thank those of you who have reached out with kind words of support, McCurdians and Arianators alike. No matter who or what you support, I believe in supporting fairness first. If you have done that, thank you."

Since she basically left the door open for wild speculation, some fans did speculate and she later clarified, "My previous tweet has nothing to do with pics leaked.oh you guys lol ... It has to do with how nickelodeon treated me. That's all. Thanks for the love. <3"

So basically she's saying to blame Nickelodeon for how they treated her but she may be contractually obligated to say nothing more than that. After all, the network is still her employer.

Jennette may have hinted to this on March 27 when she tweeted, "Stand up for what you believe in. Stand up for who you are. Don't let small people make you believe you're small."

Do you feel like you know everything she's talking about? Is it related to Ariana?
