Yesterday (April 2) may have been the 20th anniversary of ‘90s hit show, Sister, Sister, but star Tia Mowry-Hardrict isn’t giving up hopes of bringing her famous twin antics with older sister (by 2 minutes) Tamera Mowry-Housley back to the screen. In fact, Tia wants to reunite her beloved TV family for Sister Sister movie!
In an exclusive interview with OKMagazine.com, Tia revealed that she’s totally up for a Sister Sister movie, and that she would “ love to do Tia and Tamera go to Paris or to see where are they now.”
Tia went on to talk about the possible direction the Sister Sister movie could go in, stating “Maybe one of them’s married one’s not, one of them’s extremely successful and the other one’s struggling and she has to help the one who’s struggling. One of them has a family, the other one doesn’t.” Going further and using the Sex and the City movie franchise as an example, Tia said that she’d love to see “Tia and Tamera somewhere out of their comfort zone, whether that’s traveling abroad to Morocco or Paris or Italy. Something fun like that.”
As it stands, Tia’s currently got her hands full with her son Cree, and her successful Nickelodeon show, Instant Mom, while Tamera is also juggling motherhood and her daytime talk show, The Real, which makes the possibility for a Sister Sister movie pretty slim. But then again, you never know. Until then, we’ll keep our fingers crossed that we can hear these three sweet words again: “Go home, Roger.”
