Ever since Gretchen Rossi and Slade Smiley televised their elaborate engagement on Season 8 of The Real Housewives of Orange County, fans have been anxiously waiting for the two lovebirds to finally tie the knot and start a family to no avail — yet!

With the couple now appearing on WE tv’s Marriage Boot Camp, they’re working through any issues they have before making their way down the aisle, whenever that may be. Gretchen and Slade opened up exclusively to Wetpaint Entertainment about the progress they’ve made toward planning their big day and whether or not they’re planning on becoming parents before or after they become husband and wife.

“We’ve found some locations, we think, and we’ve narrowed it down to a few,” Slade shared. “Haven’t picked a date.”

“We’re talking about maybe fall, but it’s probably going to change a couple more times,” Gretchen added. “That’s what we’re pushing for right now. But we’re also trying to have a baby so if a baby comes first, you never know. It could totally change!”

Excuse us, girlfriend — a baby? It’s beginning to seem more and more obvious that these two have very little planned with regards tothe wedding. With them very open about having a baby, it seems like the wedding could be on the backburner. But here’s the real burning question: Does Gretchen want a baby girl or boy?

“It’s cliché to say it, but I’ll be happy with either because I haven’t had children yet,” she gushed. “However, Slade has two boys, so I think it would be fun to have a girl to kind of change it up a little.”

We had a sneaking suspicion that Gretchen might want a little girl — but how does Slade feel about that?

“I’m trying to figure it out so that when she turns 13 we can give her back because I know what’s coming,” he said.

We know that whether the wedding bells or baby carriage come first, these two will roll with the punches and make the best of the situation!
