The court case against the intruder who broke into Sandra Bullock’s home while she was inside has almost come to an end. After a police investigation, Joshua Corbett has been charged with multiple counts of illegal weapon possession.

According to E! Online, when police searched Joshua’s home, they found several machine guns and found that he possibly keeps a diary about everything Sandra. Now that their search is complete, Joshua has been charged with burglary, stalking, and possession of a machine gun — plus 19 new felony weapon charges. Yikes!

If he’s convicted, Joshua will face up to 12 years in county jail. Although he didn’t have weapons with him when he broke into Sandra’s home on June 8, his actions led to a bigger investigation that has now escalated into many, many felony charges.

Meanwhile, Sandra’s okay — although we’d guess she’s still a little shaken up about the whole thing. Here’s hoping that this case sends a message to other would-be stalkers that police aren’t messing around!

And considering that this story could’ve had a way scarier outcome, we’re glad Sandra (and her son, Louis) is safe. Hopefully, she will never have to worry about an ordeal like this again!
