Congrats to first-time father Kenan Thompson!
The Saturday Night Live star, 36, and his wife Christina Evangeline just welcomed their first child, TMZ reports.
Their daughter, Georgia Marie Thompson, was born Friday, June 20 around 10:30 a.m. in New York, weighing 6 lbs. You can actually see the family’s first photo on TMZ, it’s very sweet. According to the site, the parents are "exhausted/ecstatic" and they added that Kenan hasn't slept a wink since the baby was born. But it's not like HE gave birth, so hopefully Christina was able to rest up after delivering.
Kenan and Christina announced they were expecting back in February. The next month, Kenan sat down with his old SNL buddy Seth Meyers to talk about impending fatherhood. Kenan saluted the ladies in the audience for the hard work of having babies. "You go through a lot — I applaud you." The Nickelodeon sketch comedy alum also joked that he planned to skip his daughter's actual arrival. "I am terrified," Kenan confessed. "I don't know what to do with babies. I plan to be at the casino when she's giving birth, like old schoolin' it."
He was just joking, as you can see in the photo of little Georgia Marie in her mother and father's arms. They seem so content (but also pretty tired).
Congrats to the happy family! And don't worry, Kenan, Georgia won't stay a baby for long. The real terror comes when she starts to grow up!
