Good news about Dan Dotson. The Storage Wars star was released from the hospital on June 29 and his double brain aneurysm didn't cause any permanent damage, reports TMZ. Original story (June 22, 2014):

A reality star is enduring a tough war with his health. Indeed, Storage Wars star Dan Dotson suffered a double brain aneurysm this week.

Dan, an auctioneer on the popular A&E reality show, was rushed to the hospital on June 18 and underwent immediate surgery. Thankfully, the surgery was a success, as his blood pressure returned to normal levels and he did not suffer paralysis.

His wife, Laura Dotson, tells TMZ that Storage Wars' cameras were in the hospital during Dan's surgical procedure, meaning that the surgery is likely to be part of the show's Season 6.

Now that Dan has survived the health scare and is continuing to recover, he is making changes in his life to ensure that such an emergency doesn't happen again. A smoker for 40 years, he has decided to give up smoking cigarettes, per his doctors' recommendation. Dan's 16-year-old son is said to be impressed by Dan's decision to quit smoking and is also planning to make healthier choices in his own life.

On June 22, Dan tweeted: "Thx to all my friends & fans for all the love, prayers & well wishes. I'm one lucky bastard." We wish him all the best.
